his painting, the last leftovers of my cheap paint used, I painted with big brushes and palette knifes. Using a palette knife is a nice technique, especially when working wet-in-wet. Because of the bad paint, a lot of craquelure started to develop, I like the craquelure. [update 2015] Still I like this painting very much and I’m still trying to get the same effect. See Abstract2 and Abstract2.1.

ls en Istvan is the first painting I made of people I really knew. I made a photograph of them when we had a brunch together. Els en Istvan are our aunt and uncle. The sad part is, they both died, but we still have this painting, a very special painting.
