lways when I am in Barcelona for a long time, at a certain point I really miss my cats, who stay in Amsterdam. Our cats are too old to travel. And cats have normally a stronger relation with there home than with people. So I painted myself and my best friend cat Krak. The painting became exactly what I wanted. Correr en color [2012 65x81]

fter I made Correr en blanco, I wanted to make a series of the same subject. So I transferred the outlines of the painting on paper and copied the lines on a empty canvas. This worked out fine, but it was impossible for me to create more or less the same painting. Then I thought – I make this one in colour. The big spaces are vertical and horizontal brush strokes in wet paint. Correr en blanco [2012 65x81]

unning in white. I wanted to experiment with perspective. For this painting I only used black and white. What I like about black and white is that you really can create very nice shades of gray.
